Burgin: The Lady Bulldogs were put through the gauntlet last Saturday, playing seven matches in one day at the McCreary Central Invitational Tournament. Though the tourney left Burgin with a win, two ties and four losses, McKnight said it was an important test for her team.

Jeremy Britt was a record producer

Jeremy Britt during his four years at Centre collegeMercer football assistant coach Jeremy Britt produced many big records in high school, he didn’t craft or collaborate with musicians. Britt, pictured here during his four years playing for Centre college, was a three-time All-State running back who produced a load of top ten records in both state and national all-time rankings.

Though the man nicknamed “Pocket Rocket” had a sterling prep career, it was one night in 1997 that put his name on two national records and cemented his reputation as a clutch performer.

For info on that game and Britt’s story, check out this week’s issue of The Harrodsburg Herald and the complete story.
